GERN NW's Business Network (BizNet for short) was created to support and promote international business, trade, and development between the Pacific Northwest and the German-speaking countries and regions of Europe. German is an official language of Austria, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland and is a recognized language in several other countries in Europe and around the world.
GERN NW itself is an informal social network of German language speakers so BizNet follows this model and is also an informal network of German language speakers interested in business. Although a list of email addresses and several social media accounts are maintained by the GERN NW Admin Group (made up of volunteers), there is no formal 'membership' for BizNet.
BizNet participants work with individuals, organizations, agencies, companies, and universities to develop valuable resources and unique programs that provide value to our constituents. BizNet helps our constituents connect, learn, and share best practices around international business, trade, and development.
